Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep recently faced a deeply emotional and tragic moment as his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, passed away on October 20, 2024 at a private hospital in Bengaluru. Despite the heartbreaking news, Sudeep displayed remarkable professionalism by continuing to host Bigg Boss Kannada’s Saturday episode, even while dealing with his pain.
Even though Kichcha Sudeep knew his mother was seriously ill, he continued to host Bigg Boss Kannada, highlighting his strong commitment to his responsibilities. Right after finishing the episode, he rushed to the hospital, only to find out that his mother had been put on a ventilator just minutes before he arrived. She passed away the next morning, leaving Sudeep deeply heartbroken.
After his mother’s passing, Sudeep shared his grief with his fans on social media. In an emotional post on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed how his mother was the guiding light in his life. He described her as “loving, caring, and forgiving” and said that she was like a god to him in human form. Sudeep shared that everything in his life changed in just 24 hours and the pain of losing her was unbearable.
One of the most touching parts of his tribute was when he mentioned how his mother used to text him “Good morning, kanda” every day. However, on October 18, he noticed her message was missing. He then went on to call her, amid caught up with the preparations for Bigg Boss’s Saturday episode, delaying his call.
On the day of the Bigg Boss shoot, Sudeep found out that his mother had been admitted to the hospital. After receiving the news, he called his sister and doctors to check on her condition but continued with his hosting duties. Although he was deeply worried about his mother’s health, Sudeep managed to stay composed while filming the episode. He later credited his mother for teaching him to stay focused and professional, no matter how hard life gets.
Sudeepa shared that during the shoot, he received updates about his mother’s worsening condition but he remained strong. In his emotional post, he expressed that if he was able to continue hosting the show with calmness, it was because of the lessons his mother had taught him about staying committed to his work.
Soon after the episode shoot completion, Sudeep immediately rushed to the hospital to be by his mother’s side. Sadly, he didn’t get the chance to see her conscious one last time. His mother put up a brave fight but passed away early on Sunday morning. Sudeep shared that everything in his life changed in a matter of hours, and accepting this painful reality would take time.
Sudeep wrote about how hard it was to believe that the same mother who hugged him tightly before he left for work was now gone. He expressed how difficult it would be to cope with this loss and how deeply it would affect him emotionally.
In his heartfelt tribute, Sudeepa called his mother a “great soul” and expressed how much he would miss her. He also mentioned that he believed the day of her passing was chosen by nature and God, as it was an auspicious day. Sudeep thanked everyone who supported him during this tough time, showing his appreciation for those who stood by him.
Saroja Sanjeev passed away at 7 am on October 20, 2024 due to age-related complications. Her funeral took place the same day and many people from the film industry and political leaders came to offer their condolences to Kichcha Sudeep and his family. Several celebrities, including Rishab Shetty, paid their respects and offered their support to the actor during this difficult time.
