John Abraham Calls Out Actors Charging HEFTY Prices In Industry: It Is Ridiculous

John Abraham claimed that actors should not really charge hefty prices when industry is already suffering a low, and should know when to cut down on their personal costs.

Having spent more than two decades in the film industry, bollywood actor John Abraham recently highlighted the high remunerations being charged by the actors these days while the industry is already facing a low. He shared his thought on people charging heavy prices, incuding the artist’s entourage costs and called it “mental” describing the hefty amount.

John Abraham REACTS To Male Actors Charging High Prices

In one of the exclusive interactions, John Abraham opposed the thoughts of the male actors who are charging so much for their projects, and called that it is somewhat “hurting” the Indian cinema. John strongly highlighted a major issue that’s bothering the film industry, being the amount paid to the leads.

John stated, “We should be paying people to act in a film because we don’t justify those huge budgets and fees that we get paid.” As he continues further, he remarked that one cannot baord a film with huge entourage costs and it is just ridiculous. “I don’t know if it is the actor thinking this way or the agents behind them, but our actors cannot be so daft”, the Vedaa actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

“Cut Down On Your Personal Costs First”, Says John

In the conversation ahead, John Abraham revealed that “as an industry, we are suffering, and the first thing an actor should do is cutting your personal costs down.According to the 57 year old actor, actors continue to compare themselves to different stars, while in reality they should uderstand and take it into cognizance that sometimes they might just not be worth of the huge figures and should understandably work it out to cut down on a few costs.

Further, he also amplified that “coming out with good content is one of the biggest issue at the current time”. The actor feels it requires a few brave minds like Aditya Chopra who do have the guts and can take it on them to work with stars even with lower or no fame. John also highlighted the importance of writing the content with wisdom, before it goes out as a film to the audience.
