Janice Combs, Sean Diddy’s Mom Comes To Defend Son On Crime Charges Against Him

In her statement, mother Janice acknowledged about her son's charge on raping and assaulting his own girflruend Cassie hat her son lied about the incident offering an explanation on the same.

Amid a series of legal troubles involving accusations of sexual assault and sex trafficking, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother has come to his defense. Janice Small Combs released a statement on Sunday through her attorney, Natalie G. Figgers, on behalf of the Combs family. She said that while her son is not perfect and has “made mistakes in the past,” he is not guilty of the allegations against him.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence,’ she quoted in a statement with Hollywood reporter.

The statement was released five days after it was revealed that Combs would be facing lawsuits from 120 additional accusers, in addition to the dozen he was already facing. In her statement, mother Janice acknowledged about her son’s charge on raping and assaulting his own girflruend Cassie hat her son lied about the incident offering an explanation on the same, “Sometimes, the truth and a lie become so closely intertwined that it becomes terrifying to admit one part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or is too complicated to be believed”, she said. 

Janice added that she’s been hurt hearing all the “jokes” being made at her son’s expense and that he’s not being given an opportunity to share his side of the story. Combs was arrested in mid-September following a grand jury’s indictmenet. He has been denied bail for sex trafficking and racketeering charges while the court proceedings continue to take place.
