On May 5, singer Pawandeep Rajan was involved in a severe car accident near Moradabad while traveling to Delhi. He suffered multiple fractures and required a six-hour surgical procedure. He is currently being monitored, and his team reported, ‘He experienced intense pain and was unconscious, making it an extremely challenging day for the family,’ while also indicating that he will require another surgery in the near future.
Pawandeep Rajan, the singer who rose to fame by winning Indian Idol Season 12, was involved in a severe car accident on Monday at 3:40 a.m. near Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, while en route to Delhi to board a flight to Ahmedabad for an event. A video shared on social media indicated that he sustained multiple injuries. On Tuesday, Pawandeep’s team released their initial statement post-accident, providing a health update in response to the concerns raised by fans.
His team wrote, “Hi Everyone, as you all are aware that Pawandeep Rajan met with a tragic road accident on 5th May early morning near Moradabad, UP while he was on his way to Delhi to catch a flight to Ahmedabad for an event. He was initially treated at a nearby medical facility but was subsequently transferred to a more advanced hospital in the Delhi NCR region.”
Additionally, the statement disclosed that the singer sustained several significant fractures along with some minor injuries. “The previous day was extremely challenging for both the family and his supporters. He endured intense pain and periods of unconsciousness throughout the day,” the statement continued.
Pawandeep’s team reported that he was admitted to the operating room on Monday at approximately 7 p.m. Following a six-hour surgical procedure, several of his significant fractures were successfully addressed. He is presently in the Medical ICU for monitoring. After a period of 3 to 4 days of recovery, he is scheduled to have another surgery to address the remaining fractures and injuries.
