R Madhavan who recently made his directorial debut with multi-lingual biographical drama Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022), has finally signed his next Tamil film. The actor will be next seen in director Mithran Jawahar’s upcoming film.
Mithran recently rose to fame with his maiden directorial venture, Thiruchitrambalam (2022). The rom-com starring Dhanush and Nithya Menon turned out to be surprise hit of 2022 and has got cult status just within few months of it’s release.
Mithran, who couldn’t control his excitement took to twitter to announce the project. After the blockbuster success of Thiruchitrambalam, kicking off my next directorial project starring uber-talented, and fan-favourite @ActorMadhavan. Produced by the acclaimed Mediaone Global Entertainment. Let’s Roll! (sic).”
R. Madhavan’s last outing was Dhoka: Round D Corner. The psychological crime thriller was directed by Kooki Gulati and also starred Khushali Kumar, Aparshakti Khurana and Darshan Kumar.
R. Madhavan recently had a reunion with his 3 Idiots (2009) co-stars Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi. The three stars came together to promote Sharma’s upcoming Gujarati film ‘Congratulations’.
