Exciting News! Tom Holland Calls Spider-Man 4 Script “Excellent” After Reading With Zendaya

Tom Holland is excited about the Spider-Man 4 script, calling it "worthy of fans' respect" but notes it still needs work.

Tom Holland recently shared on the Rich Roll Podcast that he’s excited about the work being done on the script for Spider-Man 4. The actor said he and Zendaya, who plays MJ in the series, read a draft of the script together and were very happy with it. Holland mentioned that the script still needs some work, but he praised the writers for doing a great job so far.

Holland also talked about the challenges of making a Marvel movie, comparing it to being part of a “large machine.” The actor explained that each film has to fit into the bigger picture of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Last month, news broke that Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton is in talks to direct Spider-Man 4, replacing Jon Watts, who directed the previous three Spider-Man movies.

Holland pointed out that Marvel movies are part of a larger story, and making sure each movie fits the overall plan can be difficult. He admitted that the timeline for finishing the film is tight, but he is confident that it can be done with the talented team working on it.

While reading the draft, Holland and Zendaya were very excited, with Holland saying they even bounced around the living room at times. He said the script felt like a movie that fans would truly appreciate, but a few things still need to be figured out before moving forward.

With big ideas and a draft already in place, fans can look forward to another exciting Spider-Man movie. Although not many details have been shared yet, the project is making progress.
