Coming as a shock to everyone, Lockupp contestant and controversial star Poonam Pandey was announced dead at the age of 32. The news of her death was announced on her Instagram account. The post revealed that the actress passed away after battling cervical cancer.
The statement in her latest Instagram post read, “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.”
However, the news of her sudden demise left many in shock while others were in total confusion and doubt. Many netizens speculated if the announcement of her death was only a publicity stunt.
Reacting to the post a user wrote, “Lost? Hope this is not fake or fun post.”, “I hope it’s not some marketing gimmick coz it’s distasteful but if it’s true. Rest in peace”, one user commented, “I hope this is a fake post”, and another user wrote, “Either This Is it a prank or some other Poonam”.
However, as per Zoom, her publicist and team have confirmed the death of the actress. For the unversed, Poonam Pandey last appeared in Kangana Ranaut’s show, Lockupp. She has also previously appeared in the show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
