One of indian television’s most loved and popular serial Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya (2014 – present), produced by TV czarina Ekta Kapoor is going to witness a new 2 years leap and for fans who have loved Abhi and Pragya’s onscreen chemistry and romantic moments always, this new leap is going to be totally different since this time around, Shabir Sriti open up on Kumkum Bhagya’s upcoming 2 year leap.
In their recent conversational exclusive interview with a leading digital entertainment portal, both Shabir Sriti open up on Kumkum Bhagya’s upcoming 2 year leap.
The serial which has been an audiences and fans family favorite show across Indian from past 7 years now thanks to its interesting plot filled with unexpected yet surprising twists and turns along with the remarkable performances and strong authentic portrayal by some of truly iconic characters like Abhishek Mehra aka Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia), Pragya (Sriti Jha), Rhea (Pooja Banerjee), Aaliya (Reyhna Pandit), Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) and Prachi (Mugdha Chapekar). Even as the wedding track yet again between Abhi and Tanu has gotten the fans and audiences totally hooked and so the shows makers are all set to spice up the show by packing in an exciting new punch and so in the latest candid chat, Shabir Sriti open up on Kumkum Bhagya’s upcoming 2 year leap.

This is totally going to be a game changer 2 years leap as it’s going to completely change and turn the worlds of both Abhi and Pragya upside down with complete turnaround of Bhagya (fate / destiny) for both Abhi and Pragya. Recently we saw how Pragya convinced Abhi for getting engaged to Tanu so that Tanu takes her case back against Abhi and in meantime, we also see how entire Mehra family is in a race against time for getting proof to prove Abhi’s innocence and also stop this marriage from happening but there’s going to be sudden twist of fate as Pragya meets with a near fatal accident and ultimately going missing in the most crucial and pivotal episode before the leap and then the story will go in fast forward mode to straightaway 2 years later.
As this totally fresh chapter slowly unfolds itself post the leap, we see how Abhi is not the super charming, ambitious and dashing rockstar that he once was since he has taken this huge betrayal and debacle literally to his heart along with losing all his money and ultimately is a dejected drunk who sings occasionally in order to fund his addiction. While we’ve had a 7-year leap and a generation leap in the past, this one will literally turn our lives upside down and leave our fans astonished”.
Specifically also opening up on the ongoing wedding track drama, Shabir shares, “The whole wedding drama will end on a cliff-hanger with Pragya meeting with an accident and the show taking a two-year leap. In the new chapter, I will be seen as a dejected man who’s lost all his passion in life. He will be seen as a fallen star with no money and no interest in fixing his life. Initially, his family was everything to him, but now he is least bothered and doesn’t care about anything but himself and his compulsive need for alcohol. To find out what could have possibly led Abhi to this state, viewers will have to wait and watch our upcoming leap!”.
Talking about the 2 year leap in KKB, Sriti Jha also added, “The leap holds a lot of excitement for our audiences as Abhi and Pragya’s Bhagyas are all set to change completely. While Abhi will be seen as a broken man who’s taken to the bottle, viewers will see my character turn into a powerful corporate professional at a multinational company in another country.
