KBC 15 Update: Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15 continues to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as yet another contestant came too close to winning Rs 7 crore. The gripping episode featured contestant Jasnil Kumar, whose journey on the iconic game show hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan had everyone holding their breath.
Jasnil Kumar’s journey on KBC had been nothing short of extraordinary. After displaying impressive knowledge and expertise, he successfully answered the Rs 1 crore question, securing a brand new car as his prize. However, it was the nail-biting 15th question that pushed him to a pivotal moment.
The heart-pounding moment arrived when Jasnil faced the ultimate question: “Leena Gade, a person of Indian origin, is the first female race engineer to win which of the following races?” The options were as follows: A) Indianapolis 500 B) 24 Hours of Le Mans C) 12 Hours of Sebring D) Monaco Grand Prix.
Uncertain of the answer, he decided to quit the game show, a decision that left everyone in suspense. However, as fate would have it, when asked to choose an option for his answer, he coincidentally picked option B, which turned out to be the correct answer. Amitabh Bachchan remarked, “Khel jaate toh 7 crore jeet jaate aaj” (“Had you played, you would have won 7 crore today”).
During the show, Jasnil shared, “Since I first heard about KBC, it has been my dream to stand on this stage. Since 2011, I relentlessly pursued this dream. I remember that I cried more thinking about KBC than breathing. Despite the obstacles and mockery, I believed that one day, I would prove them all wrong. I dreamt that one day, my entire life would change.”
Talking about his 5-year-old son, the contestant said, “When KBC’s call didn’t come, I used to ask my son, ‘Will the call come this time?’ That little kid once told me, ‘Zaroor aayega’ (‘It will definitely come’). I didn’t teach him this; it was naturally his instinct, and this belief motivated me. He said, ‘Papa jab jana tab chamchamati car leke aana’ (‘Papa, when you go, bring a shiny car’). It is his belief that brought me here.”
KBC 15 returned for its 15th season on August 14th, airing on Sony TV. It airs on weekdays at 9 pm.
