Ever since Kangana Ranaut declared her foray into politics, she has remained a prominent figure in the news. However, amidst the constant updates on her upcoming ventures, many fans and followers of the reality show Lock Upp were curious if the actress would come back as the host in the second season of the show or not. Addressing the same, Television mogul Ekta Kapoor recently provided some noteworthy clues about the eagerly awaited Season 2 of Lock Upp.
For the unversed, Kangana was selected to host Ekta Kapoor’s first reality show, Lock Upp. The show was streamed continuously on Alt Balaji, and standup comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner.
Throughout 2023, reports and rumors about the second show’s second season were going around, however, to fans’ disappointment, the show wasn’t premiered last year. However, despite the delay the excitement among the fans about the contestants remains the same. However, as per the latest reports, the show will return on screen soon.
The same was confirmed by Ekta Kapoor who was seen leaving from Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain’s Holi Party. While she was leaving the paparazzi asked Ekta about LockUpp 2. During the chat, Ekta revealed and confirmed that Lock Upp will return with its 2nd season within the next 6 months.
The paps further asked if Kangana Ranaut would be coming back as the host or not since she has now ventured into politics so the chances of the actress hosting the show might be slim. Reacting to this, Ekta said, “I Hope she gets the chance to host the next season of Lock Upp.”
