When Robert Downey Jr. Left The Interview Midway After Being Asked About Jail And Drugs

Robert Downey Jr. was on a promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, things took an unpleasant turn during the British leg of his campaign.

Robert Downey Jr. is a well-known actor, famous for his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tony Stark, Iron Man, and other acclaimed films. He had a dark past, which often comes up during his media interactions. While celebrities occasionally experience challenging or uncomfortable interviews, Robert got up in the middle of an interview when he was asked about his dark past.

The Iron Man actor struggled with drug addiction, including cocaine, and faced multiple arrests and stints in rehab facilities. These personal struggles took a toll on his career, creating hindrances and a negative impact on his public image.

Going back to 2015, Robert Downey Jr. was on a promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, things took an unpleasant turn during the British leg of his campaign.

The actor walked out of an interview in the middle with Krishnan Guru-Murthy, and later called him a “bottom-feeding muckraker.” He took a drastic step after the interviewer began asking about his dark past, which makes him uneasy.

Now after so many years, a snippet of the video is going viral on the internet, and netizens are reacting, appreciating Robert for handling the situation after being humiliated in the interview.

One wrote, “The interviewer deserved it. He knew that RDJ didn’t feel comfortable answering the questions and kept on asking, which was really rude.”

The second user wrote, “imagine getting all that education and then waste it on making people feel bad and knowing rdj hates you.”

The third user wrote, “That wasn’t an interview, that was an interrogation, which the interviewer has no rights to do. He is just trying to start a whole drama around RDJ’s past and see how it backfires!”

One more wrote, “i think its good that he walked out i mean he has done so much and come so far reflecting back on his past was obviously uncalled for and unacceptable so i have a huge respect for RDJ.”
