Selena Gomez addressed her breakup with Justin Bieber, who married the model Hailey Bieber just months after his breakup in 2018, in the podcast. The Disney alum said, “It allowed me to develop a character where I don’t tolerate any sort of nonsense or disrespect.” Even though she is more secure in her place in the entertainment industry now, Selena initially felt underconfident after the split.

Selena recalled, “I was, you know, obviously going through a really tough breakup, and then I was left with the question of my career and where am I gonna go and what’s gonna happen.” However, the breakup is not the only thing that happened with Selena. However, Selena revealed it was actually been really good for her as it was necessary for her to walk through those things.
