Pete Davidson Charged With Reckless Driving, To Serve 50 Hours Of ‘Community Service’ At New York Fire Department

The Sentencing Comes After An Incident On June 16, Where Pete Was Charged With Reckless Driving After Crashing His Vehicle Into A Home In Beverly Hills

Comedian Pete Davidson has been ordered to serve 50 hours of community service at a New York fire department as part of his sentence. The actor and comedian is the son of Scott Davidson, a brave New York City firefighter who tragically lost his life during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

The sentencing comes after an incident on June 16, where Pete was charged with reckless driving after crashing his vehicle into a home in Beverly Hills. The accident occurred on March 4, but fortunately, no injuries were reported from the collision.

In addition to the community service, Davidson will also attend a 12-hour traffic school. Moreover, he is required to comply with all laws and regulations throughout the 18-month duration of the program. The specific details of any compensation he may need to make have not been disclosed at this time.

The New York Fire Department expressed their willingness to have Pete complete his community service with them, acknowledging his connection to a 9/11 hero. In a statement to People magazine, the NYFC stated, “As the son of a 9/11 hero, we would be happy to provide Mr. Davidson an opportunity to do his required community service.”

Pete Davidson has been candid about his mental health struggles and has publicly shared that he suffers from borderline personality disorder in a podcast. Despite his challenges, he continues to work on his career and personal growth while facing the consequences of his actions responsibly.

As he undertakes this community service and fulfils his obligations, Pete will have the opportunity to give back to the community and, in a way, honour his late father’s legacy of service as a firefighter.
