Nicki Minaj Claim Twitter Limited Her Account, Twitter Denies

The rapper said she was in Twitter jail, for her COVID tweets, but Twitter denied it. Meanwhile, the White House stated it had not invited her for a visit.

Rapper Nicki Minaj is constantly surrounded by controversies. This time she is in the headlines as she alleged that Twitter has restricted her account after her COVID tweets. Meanwhile, Twitter has denied the claims and said it has not penalized for her tweets.

Minaj took Instagram’s story and wrote that she was in ‘Twitter jail’. She also stated that the site didn’t like what I was saying. The television personality then went live on Instagram to elaborate about the suspension. She said, “What in the world scared ya’ll that much to disable my f***ing Twitter, I have not put out anything that I said was a fact about anything, I simply said we should be able to ask questions and speak, and it’s scary when they start telling you, you can’t ask questions about anything.”

“Twitter, a place where people say the most horrific things every day, stops me from tweeting my poll.” The songwriter and actress went on to discuss censorship on social media surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine and conspiracy theories. She also said that she would never go back on Twitter.

However, Twitter has denied the claim that the rapper was banned from the social media site. A spokesperson for the company sent an e-mail to The LA Times. The e-mail reads, “Twitter did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced.”

Nicki Minal has always been in the headlines for controversies. Earlier in the week, Minaj Tweeted a series of tweets about the COVID-19 vaccination. On Wednesday she further claimed that she has been invited to the White House. She Tweeted, “The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human.”

However, this was again denied with a statement from a White House spokesperson confirming she was not offered an invite to Capitol Hill. A White House official told The Daily Beast, “As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.”

After the White House released its statement, Minaj offered a full-throated rebuttal on Instagram Live on late Wednesday. She talking she asked, “Do y’all think I would go on the internet and f****g lie about being invited to the f****g White House?”
