The model Aoki Lee Simmons announced their separation from Vittorio Assaf around a week after the two of them were captured on camera during an intimate trip to the Caribbean island. The couple called it off a few days after pictures of them cuddling and kissing by the water in St. Barts originally fueled romance speculations. In one of her Instagram live, she referred to him as her boyfriend. A source disclosed to Page Six that the thing between them is absolutely over.
During the beach outing on April 2, the 65-year-old founder of Serafina Restaurant Group wore a modest silver chain and blue and white swim trunks, while the 21-year-old looked stunning in a bandeau bikini with a tribal print. Vittorio was also shown lying down and taking pictures of Aoki as she posed in the sand in one of the pictures.
Though Aoki, the daughter of Kimora Lee Simmons and her ex-husband Russell Simmons, did not immediately address rumors surrounding the photos at the time, she did appear to address them when she posted a mysterious message on her Instagram Stories on April 5 with the caption, “Err, well now I know why folks were calling me.” She also posted a number of her personal trip memories on social media, but none of them featured her travel companion Vittoria Assaf who shared two children, 17-year-old Valentina and 21-year-old Vittorio, with her ex-wife Charlotte Bonstrom. Aoki is exploring her skills in the field of modeling.
Aoki’s relationship with Vittorio may not endure, but her father’s wise comment on their PDA-filled vacation will. Russell said, “I’m not going to kick and scream about her choices,” to TMZ on April 1. “All I can do is offer my advice and unconditional love.” Well, it’s unclear whether the age gap is the reason behind their split.
