Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Artists Equity Concludes Deal with Netflix

The ‘Air’ duo’s upcoming film to land on the most popular streaming platform

In a significant move, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, has concluded its first-look deal with Netflix after one year. The decision, announced on July 2, 2024, follows the success of their critically acclaimed film Air (2023), highlighting Nike’s groundbreaking partnership with Michael Jordan.

The upcoming action-thriller, RIP will now land on Netflix as per the Deadline report. The film stars Damon and Affleck, who also produce the film and has lately onboarded Joe Carnahan to direct and write the film.

Founded in 2022 by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, Artists Equity was built on the principles of creative freedom and providing equitable opportunities for artists. This move aligns with Damon and Affleck’s vision of maintaining flexibility and independence in their projects. Their first film under the banner was Air (2023)directed by Affleck and starred the best friends together in the film.

Air received widespread acclaim for its compelling narrative and standout performances.
