Mandy Moore Reacts To ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Emmy 2022 Nominations Snubs

After the nomination announcement, Mandy Moore took to her Instagram stories to address 'This Is Us' surprising Emmy 2022 snubs.

The hit family drama, which aired its sixth and final season on NBC in May, hoped for a big nomination at the Emmys this year. However, the show didn’t receive any nominations. Many fans thought Mandy Moore, whose heartbreaking performance as Rebecca in the final season garnered praise from viewers and critics, was worthy of receiving one last Emmy nomination.

The series, This Is Us, which had received over 30 Emmy nominations and four wins throughout its run also failed to score a drama series nomination. After the nomination announcement, the singer and actress took to her Instagram stories to address This Is Us’ surprising Emmy snubs. Moore wrote while congratulating the duo on their accomplishment, “So unendingly proud of Siddhartha Khosla and Taylor Goldsmith for getting an Emmy nom for their song ‘Forever Now’ on our final season of #ThisIsUs.”

The actress then admitted, “Do I wish our show was recognized in what I think was its’s finest hour? Sure.” She continues, “And [creator] Dan Fogelman’s brilliant writing for 6 seasons (hello THE TRAIN)? Ken Olin’s impeccable direction? Our insanely, wildly talented cast and crew? Yah… But nothing can take away what our show meant to SO MANY (us included). That’s an incredible legacy to be a part of. I will be grateful forever.”

Fogelman also acknowledged the lack of Emmy’s love for the show’s swan song. “The Emmy noms didn’t break for #ThisIsUs today – if you’re happy when they go your way, you’ve got to take it on the chin when they don’t. That entire group wins a ‘Danny’ in my book.,” he wrote on Twitter. “And so proud that my college roomie @SiddKhoslaMusic will be repping us with Taylor!”

Mandy Moore’s This Is Us is not only the biggest snub. And Just Like That…, Yellowstone, and more amazing series get snubbed this year. Moreover, while Stranger Things managed a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, it surprisingly struck out in the acting categories. Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink, who gave two of the buzziest performances in the show’s fourth season, were snubbed. Emmys 2022 snub also includes Selena Gomez who didn’t get any nominations for Only Murders In The Building.
