Kourtney Kardashian and Travis barker said ‘I do’s,’ on May 22, and the reality star wasted no time changing her name on social media. Less than 24 hours after exchanging vows with the drummer in front of her closest loved ones, Kourtney updated her Instagram bio to ‘Kourtney Kardashian Barker.’ However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the Poosh founder has changed her legal name or if she plans to in the near future.
The update on her Instagram profile comes after they got married for the third time, in a romantic ceremony in Portofino. Sharing a series of snaps of the couple kissing as they were pronounced man and wife, Kourtney wrote, ‘happily ever after’. Kourtney’s daughter Penelope walking down the Portofino castle steps with her new step-sister Alabama Barker. Kourtney’s wedding dress featured a ginormous veil tatted with a picture of the Virgin Mary.
For her big day, the mother-of-three wowed in a figure-hugging minidress that showed off her lithe legs and clung to her curvaceous figure as she said ‘I do’ to the rocker, 46, in an alfresco ceremony at Dolce & Gabbana’s L’Ulivetta villa before a reception at the medieval Castello Brown fortress. Kourtney looked nothing short of sensational in the unique D&G white silk lace and satin mini dress and a dramatic hand-embroidered veil with a billowing train embroidered with a Virgin Mary motif.
Her trailing veil which was complete with floral lace appliqué was inspired by the flowers of the Portofino gardens, while it also featured a hand-embroidered a large depiction of the Virgin Mary and the words ‘family loyalty respect.’ The embroidery used the cross-stitch technique and the words are a nod to Travis’ tattoo, which is a symbol of ‘alliance, respect and common devotion’. The look was completed by tulle gloves and white lace pumps.
Kourtney and Travis were friends for many years before getting together. The couple has had a whirlwind romance that saw several red-carpet PDA moments and Barker overcoming his fear of flying. The possible wedding is taking place at the same time as the drama from their engagement plays out on Hulu’s The Kardashians. Kourtney and Travis got engaged in October 2021 on the beach in Montecito, California. The couple had been dating for less than a year when the rocker got down on one knee.
