Kevin Costner’s Attorney Slams Estranged Wife’s $885k Legal Fee Demand Amid Divorce Battle

Kevin's Attorney, The Renowned Laura Wasser, Didn't Mince Words In Response, Stating That The Requested Legal Bill Is Nothing Short Of Outrageous

In the ongoing divorce battle between Hollywood actor Kevin Costner and his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, things have taken a contentious turn as Christine’s legal team demands a staggering $885,000 in legal fees. According to a report by Page Six, Christine’s lawyers insist she must be prepared to pay this substantial amount for the extensive legal representation she’s received while contesting the prenuptial agreement with Kevin.

Kevin’s attorney, the renowned Laura Wasser, didn’t mince words in response, stating that the requested legal bill is “nothing short of outrageous.” Wasser pointed out that the court had already upheld the validity of their prenuptial agreement, further complicating Christine’s position in the ongoing legal proceedings.

The couple, who were married for 18 years, saw their union come to an end when Christine filed for divorce on May 1. Together, they share the joys of parenthood with three children: two sons, Cayden, aged 15, and Hayes, aged 14, as well as a 12-year-old daughter named Grace.

In a recent development, the Santa Barbara County court has ruled in favor of Kevin Costner regarding child support payments to his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner. This ruling has brought substantial relief to the actor in terms of his financial obligations.

Prior to this decision, Costner had been making temporary monthly child support payments of $129,000, a sum that Christine had contested, seeking an increase to $248,000 per month. However, Christine returned to court, requesting a monthly figure of $161,000.

The recent court ruling has significantly eased Costner’s financial burden, reducing his monthly child support payments to $63,209—almost half of the previously disputed amount. The court’s decision appears to strike a balance between the needs of the children and Costner’s financial circumstances, marking a significant development in this high-profile divorce case.
