In the midst of an ongoing controversy about Kate Middleton’s appearance, the princess herself made a shocking revelation about her health. The couple, Prince William and Princess of Wales, shared a video on their Instagram handle where Catherine revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Her revelation came as a major shock to many. And now Catherine is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
In January, Catherine underwent major abdominal surgery in London. And during that time, her condition was non-cancerous, so eventually, surgery was successful, but post-operation tests diagnosed the cancer. “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for the entire family”, she said in that video. Catherine mentioned, “Tests after the operation found cancer has been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy. And now I’m in the early stages of that treatment.”
The 42-year-old didn’t share much about her cancer. It is not clear yet which type of cancer she has been diagnosed with. She also said that it was really difficult for the couple to tell this to their kids George, Charlotte and Louis, and to reassure them about her comeback.
She expressed her gratitude towards all those who sent them love, support and best wishes to recover soon. She said “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too.” She asked for time, space and privacy for her family through the video while she completes her treatment. Lastly, she encouraged all those who have been facing cancer in any form saying, “Don’t lose faith”.
