Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are finally married! According to the marriage license acquired by HollywoodLife, the renowned pair married on Saturday, July 16 in Clark County, Nevada. According to TMZ, the couple married in Las Vegas after acquiring the marriage license.
Jennifer and Ben have a charming love story. They originally met during the filming of their 2003 film Gigli, which was released in 2001. Jennifer was married to Cris Judd at the time of the shooting, but the couple split in 2003. Ben and Jennifer made their relationship public in 2002, and they married in November of that year. They did, however, split up by January 2004.
Jennifer later married and had children with Marc Anthony, while Ben married and had children with actress Jennifer Garner. Jennifer and Marc separated in 2012, and Ben and Jennifer Garner split in 2015. Jennifer began dating MLB star Alex Rodriguez shortly after Ben’s divorce and was all set to marry him in 2019.
Jennifer and Alex concluded they were better off as friends by April 2021 after two weddings were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jennifer and Ben got back together soon after that. Ben proposed in April a stunning 8.5-carat green diamond estimated to be valued at over $5 million acquired from Ilan Portugali of Beverly Hills Diamonds. Jennifer made the announcement via her newsletter.
Following their engagement, the pair was seen on PDA-filled date evenings and house tours while looking for their permanent home together. A source close to the couple spoke to HollywoodLife about what they were searching for in a home. “Jen has a big family so she’s definitely looking for something that has enough room to entertain and host company,” they explained.
The source added to the outlet, “She’s also looking for plenty of space for all of their kids to live comfortably and of course the extras like a huge pool, walk-in closets, etc. They want this to be their forever home where they can raise their kids together. Jen has a lot on her wish list, but she’s confident they can find the perfect place.”
Jennifer has 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband, while Ben has three children with ex-Jennifer: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. And, while they intend to have enough room for all of their children to gather as one, they have no plans to expand their brood. “They do not want new children – they are both past that part in their life,” a source told HollywoodLife in April.
