During an interview with Hot Ones, The Hunger Games actress makes several shocking revelations, such as about her own acting technique and feeling uneasy while working with a method actor.
In an interview, Jennifer Lawrence was asked about difficulties she may face when working with someone who has a different type of acting preparation.
She replied by saying she would be nervous to work with somebody who is method. She would have no idea how to talk to them. Do I have to be in character? That would make me nervous. She hasn’t seen another [acting] process that she has been curious about. You don’t know about them all the time.”
She revealed that her own acting technique has changed throughout the years. She had always been very on-off until she did ‘American Hustle’ and worked with Christian Bale. The Hunger Games actress said she noticed when the camera started rolling and the crew started preparing, like 10 seconds before action, he would start getting ready. She saw the process and thought, that seems like a really good idea, so she started doing that.
