The original and first main pilot episode is going to be helmed by HIMYM fame director Pam Fryman who had originally directed around 196 out of 208 episodes for How I Met Your Mother and even though many fans didn’t like the series finale but surely they all are going to happy to see much of the same creative power behind this new much awaited spinoff series since even the original series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are back with Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger reprising their mantle as show-runners.

In a recent statement given to a leading global entertainment publication, Bays and Thomas said, “Kids, I’m going to tell you an incredible story: It’s the story of how two writers got lucky enough to make their dream TV show for nine seasons and now get to pass the torch to an inspired new creative team with their own incredible story to tell, the story of How I Met Your Father. We are honored by their passion and vision, and look forward to helping them tell a legendary new story. Thanks to all the HIMYM fans out there who waited for it”.

Hilary Duff’s role in How I Met Your Father – Hilary would be seen essaying the role of Sophie who is going to be the show’s protagonist and narrator telling her son the entire story of how she met his father. The plot begins in 2021 and depicts Sophie with her close-knit group of friends, who all live in New York City. Interestingly, Hilary is going to be a producer for the series as well.

According to a leading globally reliable entertainment publication Hilary Duff said, “I’ve been incredibly lucky in my career to play some wonderful characters and I’m looking forward to taking on the role of Sophie. As a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother, I’m honored and even a little nervous that HIMYM creators Carter and Craig would trust me with the sequel of their baby. Isaac and Elizabeth are brilliant, and I can’t wait to work alongside them and all of their genius. Just fangirling over here getting to join the Hulu Originals and 20th families. I realize these are big shoes to fill and I’m excited to slip my 6 ½s in there”.

How I Met Your Father show format – HIMYF is going to use both multi-camera and single camera methods, same like the original hit TV series. Just as Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) walked his kids through the ups and downs of dating, working and cultivating lasting friendships in Manhattan, Sophie will tell her son how she did the same.

But special mention here that Sophie’s story is going take place in today’s social media era and age of dating apps and so HIMYF’s debut in 2021 is going to feel really diverse and also look really unique than HIMYM’s 2006 launch which leads to another question that will COVID-19 get a mention in Sophie’s NYC journey and there’s no certain answer on that yet.

How I Met Your Father main principal star cast – Apart from Hilary as Sophie, there’s an ensemble star cast who is going to form as Sophie’s friends group in series wherein Francia Raisa (Grown-ish) will play Sophie’s roommate, Valentina who is a dear friend and stylist that has recently returned to New York from London Fashion Week with a new hot arm candy and British boyfriend named Charlie. “She’s impulsive and adventurous, and Sophie relies on Valentina’s ability to cheer her up when she gets down”.

Next up after Francia as Valentina, Tom Ainsley (Versailles) will attack Valentina’s boyfriend Charlie who is basically a model that has been “living in a rich person’s bubble his whole life” as the son of traditional aristocrats.

Then actor Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars) is going to be seen playing the role of Jesse, an Uber driver and aspiring musician who lives with his best friend followed by actor Suraj Sharma (Wedding Season) who is going to essay the character of best friend, named Sid, a bar owner and Jesse’s roommate.

Finally actor Tien Tran (Space Force) will play Jesse’s adopted sister, Ellen who took a plane to New York from a small farming town after ending a relationship with her wife.

How I Met Your Father series airing date – As of now, currently no date has been set for the much awaited series in the offing but this is true that the project has been a long time coming now and according to a leading globally reliable entertainment publication, both Bays and Thomas had written a pilot for HIMYF almost 7 years back in 2014, but it had not been picked up and now that this has been ordered with a green signal from Hulu, this wait is not going to be that long.

For now the creators of the show are having loads of fun in teasing the audiences and fans and as per a leading digital hollywood entertainment portal, “We hope nobody thinks it’s weird that Bob Saget will be playing old Hilary Duff’s voice”.
