HBO has unveiled a new trailer promoting their line-up of 2022 content with some most anticipated first look glimpses at new shows and new seasons for both HBO and HBO Max originals. The clip teased at most anticipated Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon along with new seasons of The Flight Attendant, Westworld, Euphoria, and many more.
The Flight Attendant video only features a few shots of star and producer Kaley Cuoco, which, like House of the Dragon and Westworld, doesn’t have a season premiere date set. Meanwhile, other shows featured in the video include the second season of Euphoria that is scheduled to release on January 9, The Righteous Gemstones (January 9), Peacemaker (January 13), The Gilded Age (January 24), Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (March 2022), Raised By Wolves and The Time Traveller’s Wife.
The House of the Dragon footage opens the video with a brief shot of Daemon Targaryen aka Matt Smith carrying a torch. Another shot shows Olivia Cooke’s character Alicent Hightower running through a hall while raising a dagger. For unversed, House of the Dragon is set hundreds of years before the events of the Game of Thrones series, based on the book of the same name by George R.R. Martin.
However, there is no date set for House of the Dragon yet, nor is there a date for the fourth season of Westworld, which debuted the first clip from its fourth season. While fans only got a few brief shots, they’re offered a glimpse of Aaron Paul’s returning character Caleb Nichols. He’s seen looking back as we get a glimpse at Ed Harris as the mysterious Man in Black, while other shots showed Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) opening a door and heading outside and Maeve (Thandiwe Newton) walking alone.
The video also teases new shows like The Time Traveler’s Wife, White House Plumbers, We Own This City, Black Lady Sketch Show, His Dark Materials, and The Nevers. The new year will also see HBO Max host new movies like Free Guy, The Last Duel, and F9: The Fast Saga.
