Earlier this month “That 70’s Show” actor Danny Masterson was sentenced to imprisonment for 30 years for the two rape convictions. Following the 30-year sentence in prison, Danny Masterson’s wife Bijou Phillips has now filed for divorce from the actor.
According to a report by People, Bijou Phillips has now decided to end the 12-year marriage with Danny Masterson. The 43-yers-old, filed for divorce on Monday in Santa Barbara, California. The divorce documents cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the divorce of the duo after 12 years of their marriage.
As per the documents obtained the portal stated that Bijou Philips will have complete legal and physical custody of their nine-year-old daughter Fianna. Bijou Phillips also requested to receive spousal support and has asked to terminate the court’s ability to grant support to her estranged husband, Danny Masterson.
Rape Allegations Against Actor Danny Masterson
“That 70’s Show” actor Danny Masterson was sentenced to imprisonment for 30 years. Earlier this month, the actor was charged with the rape of two women around two decades ago. The decision was made after a jury found Masterson guilty of two counts of rape in May.
The 47 years old actor and Scientologist was convicted in May on a second trial, during which a jury deadlocked on a charge that he raped a third woman. The judge announced the sentence after hearing the side of the story from the woman who accused the actor of rape. Danny Masterson will be eligible for parole in 20 years. He had now been sentenced to 30 years in jail.
Bijou Phillip-Danny Masterson Marriage
For the unversed, Bijou Phillip is a former teenage model and singer-turned-actress. Bijou got engaged to actor Danny Masterson in 2009. The two tied the knot in Ireland in 2011. Bijou Phillip and Danny Masterson have a daughter together, Fianna.
