Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ has emerged as a critical success, drawing praise from both fans and critics alike. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, the stars of the film, received commendations for their stellar performances. However, fans were left disappointed as the initial hype surrounding Bobby Deol’s role in the trailer didn’t align with his limited screen time in the released film.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga clarified that Bobby’s role as Abrar was trimmed due to the film’s extended duration, but intriguing speculations have surfaced regarding a potential spinoff movie for Bobby Deol’s character.
According to reports from Times Now, sources close to the film’s makers suggest that a standalone movie centered on Bobby Deol’s character, Abrar Haque, might be in the works. This spinoff might not necessarily be helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, who seems occupied with the possible sequel to ‘Animal’ (tentatively titled ‘Animal Park’).
Bobby Deol shared his thoughts on the buzz around a spinoff and the overwhelming response to ‘Animal.’ He expressed, “My character Abrar enters late in ‘Animal,’ towards the end, but the impact is remarkable. Fans are clamoring for a spinoff. When it happens, I’ll be thrilled. Currently, I’m still trying to process everything! ‘Animal’ has exceeded our wildest expectations; it’s yet to sink in.”
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, ‘Animal’ also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Siddhanth Karnick, and others in significant roles. The film revolves around the tumultuous relationship between a father and son, with Ranbir essaying the role of the ruthless and vengeance-driven character, Ranvijay.
As talks of a potential spinoff gain traction and the impact of ‘Animal’ continues to resonate, the possibility of diving deeper into Abrar’s character has sparked considerable anticipation among fans, setting the stage for an intriguing cinematic extension.
