‘Fawad Khan’ is a popular Pakistani artist who enjoys a humongous fan following in the ‘Indian sub-continent’ due to his charming looks and charismatic personality. The actor made his Bollywood debut opposite the stylish Sonam Kapoor in ‘Khoobsurat’ back in the year 2014. Khan has also starred in super-hit ‘Hindi’ films like ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’; sharing screen spaces with ‘Alia Bhatt’, ‘Sidharth Malhotra’, ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ and ‘Anushka Sharma’. However, a fact is unknown to many that Fawad had strictly refused to kiss his co-stars Sonam and Alia on screen while shooting for their respective ventures together.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle in 2017, bubbly girl Alia Bhatt revealed having a kissing scene with Fawad Khan in Kapoor and Sons to which the actor refused to perform while filming. “There was a kiss in the film with Fawad. When we did the scene, it was decided that we would cheat-kiss. Still, every time I would go near his face, he would flinch. I had to keep reassuring him I wouldn’t compromise his chastity”, she explained. Earlier in the past, while promoting his first film Khoobsurat- Fawad had opened up on not doing kissing scenes in his acting projects; “I think I need to respect their feelings. A lot of my audience would be quite offended if I suddenly started losing my inhibitions”, he stated.
On the work front, Khan hasn’t featured in any ‘Indian movie’ since ages as in September 2016, the ‘Indian Motion Picture Producers Association’ (IMPPA) had passed a resolution to ban ‘Pakistani actors’ from the industry post ‘Uri attacks’. Meanwhile Fawad has also starred in numerous Pakistani dramas garnering splendid TRP numbers including ‘Humsafar’, ‘Dastaan’, and ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’.
