According to a recent report, Jawan collected Rs. 343 crores in India and the worldwide collection is said to have crossed Rs. 523 crores. Akshay Kumar reacted to this report and wrote on Twitter, “What massive success!!Congratulations my Jawan Pathaan @iamsrk. Our films are back and how.”

Jawan is breaking the records of SRK’s previous release Pathaan, that hit the theatres in Jan this year. Jawan is an action thriller film directed by Atlee. It also features Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone. Shah Rukh Khan is seen playing a double role in the film.
