Sharad Kelkar Feels Proud To Be The Voice Of Shri Ram In Adipurush

Sharad Kelkar spoke on lending his voice to Telugu actor Prabhas in Adipurush

Sharad Kelkar is gearing up for his upcoming Marathi film Har Har Mahadev set to release this Diwali. The actor who is a brilliant voice-over artist too has lent his voice to South actor Prabhas. In the Hindi version of upcoming film titled Adipurush, Sharad Kelkar is the voice behind Prabhas. The 46-year-old actor spoke on lending his to Prabhas who will essay Lord Ram in Adipurush.

Adipurush is a pan-India film to be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. For the Hindi version, Prabhas’ voice has been dubbed by Bollywood actor Sharad Kelkar. This means the voice of Lord Ram in the movie will be delivered by Kelkar.

Ahead of the release of his Marathi film the Tanhaji actor held a conversation with Pinkvilla. He spoke to the media portal about Adipurush. He said, “I am very excited for Adipurush. It has me and Om (director Om Raut) reuniting after Tanhaji. And for anyone in India, it’s a matter of pride to be the voice of Shri Ram. I am fortunate enough to be the voice of Shri Ram and I got this chance thanks to Om. Hopefully, I will again get some strength from Shri Ram to perform well.”

Well, this is not the first time the actor has given voice to Prabhas’s character. Earlier for the Baahubali series, Kelkar had lent his voice to the Telugu star. SS Rajamouli’s super hits Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 starred Prabhas in the lead role. Then again the movie was a pan-India film and similarly for the Hindi version Sharad Kelkar was the voice of Prabhas.

Talking about Baahubali, the Laxmii actor said, “Baahubali brought in a different perspective to me as an actor and it proved that even the voice can leave such an impact. I have got this adjective of being the voice of Baahubali. It’s always great to be a part of such a big film and that was the biggest happiness. I also got a chance to work with Rajamouli sir and that was the biggest achievement.”

Meanwhile, Sharad is all set for the release of Har Har Mahadev. It is a Marathi language film starring Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar and Sayli Sanjeev in lead roles. The film will release in theaters on 25th October.
