Shamshera: The much-anticipated film Shamshera has taken the internet by storm, the makers of the film recently released a teaser of the movie featuring giving a glimpse of the look of the characters and a bit about the plot of the story as well. While recently the makers have now released the official look of each character from the film. Check out the characters from the upcoming epic flick-
Ranbir Kapoor As The Savior Of Tribe
From what it seems from the minute-and-a-half long teaser Ranbir will be seen as a dacoit who leads as the savior of his ‘tribe’ in revolt against Sanjay who will be seen as the villain. Projected as the savior, the character is shown leading the charge across vast deserts, and wielding a pickaxe against adversaries. While the look of the actor features Ranbir in an unkempt beard and shaggy, flowing hair. He is cradling a huge battle-ax in his hands. The fans reacted t the look and wrote, “Another blockbuster movie.” Another wrote, “Rk Is back”, and another user wrote, “This looks so cool and so different I’m so excited for it,”.
Sanjay Dutt As The Villain
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays the evil named Daroga Shuddh Singh. Sharing his look makers wrote, “Evil never looked this good – Daroga Shuddh Singh.” The 62-year-old actor’s look features him in a police uniform, holding a whip with a huge tikka smeared on his forehead. During an interview, Sanjay said, “Karan always creates a larger-than-life villain. Be it my character Kancha in Agneepath and now as Shuddh Singh, he knows how to present an antagonist. Personally, I hope he keeps creating more exciting villains for me. He’s someone who hasn’t left the commercial zone of Indian cinema and I have full faith that with Shamshera he has whipped up a winner.”
Vaani Kapoor As The Golden Girl
Apart from Ranbir and Sanjay the makers also unveiled Vaani Kapoor’s look as the golden girl. The poster features Vaani in a sequined red and gold outfit. Vaani also shared her look and wrote, “She is relentless and has a heart of gold. She is Sona!”. Fans took their reactions to the comments and wrote, “Vani sona rocks on 70 mm screen”, a user wrote, “That’s magical role”, another user wrote, “Beautiful look”.
Talking about her role Vaani said, “I play the character of Sona, the most sought-after traveling performer of India in the 1800s. I have always chosen roles where my character pivots the script in a certain direction and in Shamshera too, Sona plays an important role in building the narrative. I’m thankful to Karan Malhotra for seeing me in this role. He held my hand at every step of the way and guided me to bring Sona to life.”
As per reports, in the film, Ranbir Kapoor is playing a savior in the film. The storyline of the film is set in a fictitious city named Kaza, where a tribe is enslaved and tortured by an authoritative general named Shudh Singh. The film will revolve around a story of a man who becomes a savior for his tribe and rises to become the leader as he fought his battle for the freedom and dignity of the tribe.
Shamshera stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. The film is expected to release in July 2022 in the standard versions, 3d, and IMAX 3d. The drama action is helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath (2012) and Brothers (2015) fame and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
