Shah Rukh Khan is basking in the success of his latest release, “Jawan,” which is shattering records at the box office. The movie has collected around Rs 287 crore at the box office, and the numbers are still going up. However, an old video of Shah Rukh is now going viral, in which he gave an interview to AIB where he can be seen telling people not to send him his film’s collection.
The actor said, “Guys, girls, and everybody, please don’t send me collections of films. I make the films. I know the collections. This is the business I’m in.” He further said, “I produce and distribute films. What the film is doing on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday… inflated, deflated, I know. People send me figures. Fools!”
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan owns a production house, Red Chillies, alongside his wife, Gauri Khan. They have produced many films like “Main Hoon Na,” “Chennai Express,” “Om Shanti Om,” and many more. The banner was earlier known as “Dreams Unlimited” and was founded in 1999 in collaboration with Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza, but later Shah Rukh took over it.
Talking about his latest release, “Jawan,” it has not only taken the Indian box office by storm but has also outshone the fourth-day collections of recent blockbuster releases, cementing its position as a bona fide blockbuster. Notably, the film has left behind Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” which earned Rs 173.58 crore on its fourth day, Rajinikanth’s “Jailer” with Rs 176.7 crore, and even Shah Rukh Khan’s own “Pathaan” with Rs 220 crore on its fourth day.
“Jawan” is an action-packed thriller that boasts a stellar cast including Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi. These talented actors form the backbone of the women’s squad that supports Shah Rukh Khan’s character, who is on a mission to rectify societal wrongs.
