Amid the coronavirus pandemic the whole of Bollywood industry has come to a standstill. The shooting of many films was halted to adhere to the lockdown rules issued by the government. Now, after three months since the lockdown, the industry is slowly resuming work while adhering to the guidelines as given by the Maharashtra Government.
Meanwhile, as per the reports Mahesh Bhatt directed Sadak 2 plans to resume shooting by the first week of July. The movie features stars like Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt in the main lead. A major chunk of the movie including a song is yet to be shot.
The special song featuring the four leads was initially supposed to be shot in Ooty, but reportedly the makers are now making changes in the track so that it could be shot in Mumbai.
Speaking of Sadak 2, the movie will be the remake of the 1991 movie Sadak featuring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The film was a Box Office success in the 90s and the songs of the movie are still listened to on loop. The remake of the original will also mark the first collaboration of Alia Bhatt with her father.
The film was slated to release on July 10, 2020, but the makers are likely to postpone the release date pertaining to the fact that some parts of the movie are yet to be shot. With theatres across the nation still being shut, the makers might even consider skipping the theatrical release and rather opt for an OTT release.
