Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon grabbed attention on Sunday when a video circulated showing her being attacked by a mob in Mumbai. The footage depicts a group of people alleging that her driver hit a woman, and they accused the actress of assaulting her while intoxicated.
Subsequently, the CCTV footage of the incident went viral, revealing that the car did not make contact with anyone, thereby rendering the accusations against her “false.” A senior police officer clarified that the actress’ vehicle did not come into contact with the women implicated. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajtilak Roshan of Zone 9 confirmed that the complaint was baseless.
The DCP disclosed to Mid-Day that the complainant filed a false report in the viral video. After reviewing the entire CCTV footage of the society, the police determined that the actress’s driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when this family crossed the same lane. The family halted the car and advised the driver to ensure no one was behind the vehicle before reversing, sparking an argument between them.
Giving her first reaction since the incident, Raveena Tandon took to her Instagram account and shared several snapshots of news clips addressing the incident and revealing that her driver never struck the women.
On the work front, Raveena Tandon is set to appear in the upcoming films ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Time Machine.’
