Late versatile actor Irrfan Khan took his last breath in Mumbai on April 29, 2020, after battling cancer for almost 2 years. The sudden demise of the actor sent emotional shockwaves across the entertainment industry. Irrfan was not only hailed in India but also was a well-known face in the international cinematic industry. Surely, the entertainment is doomed at the loss of such a gem and it will definitely take ages for someone to fill Irrfan’s absence in terms of acting and humility as well.
Irrfan Khan is survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan. His family is shattered by the news and can’t get to the terms that Irrfan is no more. Amid all the crises Irrfan’s family has gotten into, the producer of Angrezi Medium Dinesh Vijan has come forward as an angel.
Dinesh Vijan has decided to provide financial support to Irrfan’s family and he feels like it is his immense pleasure to do this noble deed. Irrfan has previously collaborated with Dinesh Vijan who bankrolled two of his successful films- Hindi Medium in 2017 and Angrezi Medium in 2020. The latter happens to be Irrfan’s last Bollywood venture and it is currently airing on Disney Plus Hotstar.
According to the sources, Dinesh is planning to set aside some amount of fund for Irrfan’s wife and two sons. The sources further added, “Irrfan never got around to making the kind of money he deserved. Whatever his savings were, all got used up for his expensive treatment in England. One imagines there is little savings left for the Khan family. Dinesh Vijan made sizeable profits from his two films with Irrfan. Not only that, he coaxed Irrfan to do Angrezi Medium when the actor was far from healthy. Dinesh feels he owes Irrfan the financial security that his family needs.”
Well, for now, there has been no reaction from Irrfan’s family on the financial help they will receive from Vijan. But it is really heart-warming to know that the producer is ready to uplift some of the financial burdens from the late actor’s surviving family.
We all know that money can never compensate the loss of a loved one but the gesture counts and Vijan should be hailed for his kind gesture.
