‘Men and Women Are Not Equal’: You Must Listen To Neena Gupta’s Anti-Feminism Opinions

Bollywood actress Neena Gupta, a single mother in the Bollywood industry, was in talks during the 1980s and 1990s due to her personal life problems. Recently, she shared her anti-feminism opinions that one should never have thought she would possess. She revealed her opinions, which will surprise you.

Badhaai Ho actress Neena Gupta was in conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his talk show named Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai. When they were talking about changing Indian society, she has some harsh thoughts. She said, “There is no need to think about and believe in things like women being equal to men and this feminism. You need to be financially independent and have to focus on your work.” She expressed her women’s empowering thoughts in a very harsh manner, but her point was to tell women about their capabilities. She continued, saying, “If you are a homemaker, that is also a big responsibility. Your self-esteem is important. Don’t possess any complexities.”

But during the whole conversation, she was firm in her statement that ‘Men and women are not equal’. She added, “If men get pregnant, then only we will be equal. But everybody is different.”

When the host asked her whether a woman needed a man, she explained, saying, “Yes, women need a man because of how society is.” She elaborates on her past experiences; she told a story of her young age. She said that she wanted to catch a flight at 6 a.m., and she left home at 4 a.m. But suddenly, some men started following her, so she went back home. Then she stayed at her male friend’s house that day, and he dropped her off at the airport the next day. Thus, she is still firm in her opinion that women and men are unequal.

Neena Gupta, mother of Masaba Gupta, has this daughter without wedlock. She was in love with cricketer Vivian Richards, but things were not in her favor. She was in the very worst condition at that time, as she and Richards were not living together. Her past life experiences have made her a strong woman, but with little anti-feminism thoughts.
