Madhur Bhandarkar Signs Shah Rukh Khan For His Film “Inspector Ghalib”? Director Reacts

Recently there have been rumors and reports stating that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will soon be collaborating with Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar for his upcoming film inspector Ghalib, it was also reported that the actor will be seen playing a titular role in the film. While addressing the rumors filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has now revealed that he is still working on the casting of the film, and the “Ghalib” in the film is yet to casted.

Madhur Bhandarkar Reacts To Rumors About Casting Shah Rukh In His Film

In a conversation with Indian Express, Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar confirmed that he is done with the script of his upcoming film Inspector Ghalib, however, he is still working on the casting, he stated that the casting process was delayed since he has been working on his film, Babli Bouncer and so he couldn’t get the time to decide the cast for his upcoming film.

Talking about the delay Madhur Bhandarkar said, “Right now, the film’s script is definitely there. But I have still not revisited it because I was busy with India Lockdown and Babli Bouncer. Now when I get these two movies released this year, I will then revisit it again and see (how it goes).”

Talking about the character Ghalib, Madhur Bhandarkar said, “I have two scripts ready, including this. From 2018-2019, I was working on three scripts, but suddenly the lockdown happened. Now I will revisit in the coming year, let me see who my Ghalib will be. He is a very flamboyant, one-liner-spouting humorous character. At the same time, it has a very elaborate action, which adds a different dynamic to the film. It is a completely different shift for me also. After watching the trailer of Babli Bouncer, I was told, ‘Oh you made a film like this,’ so I don’t know what will happen after Ghalib,” 

Upcoming Films Of Shah Rukh Khan

On the work front, SRK’s last film as a lead was Zero, which was released in Dec 2018. This year he made a cameo appearance in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Brahmastra. Fans are now eagerly waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback as a lead. SRK will be seen playing a RAW Agent in his upcoming film Pathaan. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the film will release in theatres on 5 January 2023. Apart from Pathaan, he also has Atlee’s film Jawan with south actress Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. Shah Rukh is also expected to make a cameo in Salman Khan’s film Tiger.
