Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is going strong at the box office and has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. However, it appears that Kangana Ranaut is not pleased with the film and she expressed her disapproval towards Karan Johar in her latest Instagram story.
“Indian audiences are watching a 3-hour-long film on the origin of nuclear weapons and intricacies of atomic science, and here we have the same nepotism gang indulging in the same saas-bahu drama. But why does he need ₹250 crore to make a daily soap…??? Shame on you Karan Johar for repeating the same thing nth time… calling yourself the flag bearer of Indian cinema while perpetually regressing it… Don’t waste funds, it’s not an easy time for the industry. Retire now and let young filmmakers make new and revolutionary films…” she wrote.
Kangana also offered some advice to Ranveer Singh, urging him to dress like a normal human being and not get influenced by Karan Johar’s dressing sense. She mentioned examples of veterans like Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna who dressed with great dignity and integrity in their days, and urged Ranveer to follow suit. She expressed concern about preserving culture in the country.
“My sincere advice to @ranveersingh he should stop getting influenced by Karan Johar and his dressing sense … he should dress up like a normal human being, like Dharm ji (Dharmendra) or Vinod Khanna ji dressed in their days, Indian people can’t identify with a cartoon looking person calling himself a hero, please see all south heroes how they dress up and carry themselves with great dignity and integrity….. They look manly and dignified… people don’t ruin the culture in our country (join hands emoji).”
It’s worth noting that Kangana has been vocal against Karan Johar in the past, and she even referred to him as the flag bearer of nepotism during an episode of his show ‘Koffee With Karan’.
Regarding the movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,’ apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also features veteran actors like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
