Kajol Doesn’t Want Remake Of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jeyenge For THIS Reason!

Kajol spoke about the remake of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, says, "I feel that magic can only be created once."

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was one of the most loved movies in Bollywood. The film was released in 1995, and since then audiences of all ages have continued to be impressed by it. The renowned movie, which Aditya Chopra directed, is still playing at Maratha Mandir 28 years after it first came out. The movie was recently rereleased in a few theatres for Valentine’s Day week. The moment Shah Rukh and Kajol’s enchanted chemistry appeared on film, the audience was ecstatic. Kajol recently discussed the rumours about the DDLJ remake. The actress argued against a remake of the movie because it would lose its magic.

Kajol, who most recently appeared in Salaam Venky, stated in an interview with News 18 that the parallels and potential disappointment with the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge remake would be unavoidable. According to reports, producer Aditya Chopra and actor Vijay Deverakonda will appear together in the film’s remake. But Yash Raj Films dismissed them. She then responded to the same by saying, “In my personal opinion, remakes of movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge are not necessary.” She says, “My personal opinion is that I don’t think that films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge should be remade.” I feel the same for K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham). I feel that magic can only be created once. If you recreate it, it just fizzles out and won’t have the same feel.”

She continued, “You’ll always be disappointed, regardless of how well it is portrayed and done.” Magic has a feel to it. Films give you that feeling. “You feel something when you watch them for the first time, and nothing replicates that feeling.”

Meanwhile, Kajol and 34 other celebrities who collaborated closely with Yash Chopra and YRF recently made an appearance in the Netflix docuseries The Romantics. Celebrities were featured in the series honoring Yash Chopra’s legacy as they discussed Hindi film history as seen through the eyes of YRF.
