Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding festivities have been going on in Udaipur. After registering their marriage on Wednesday, 3 January 2024 Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare had their “Christian-style” wedding in Udaipur on 10th January.
In the viral videos from the couple’s wedding, the two were seen having a Christian-style wedding, while Ira Khan was seen wearing a full white gown and a veil, and her now husband, Nupur Shikhare was seen donning a khaki-colored suit. The two were accompanied by their family members as they walked down the aisle.
However, their Christian-style wedding didn’t sit down well with the netizens who trolled and slammed the couple for not opting for a traditional Indian wedding. Reacting to the same a user wrote, “I don’t understand….they do Christian wedding just for a trend ? Clearly none of the groom family or brides family follows Christianity then why is that for ??! Jus for the trend ?!”.
Another user commented, “Y hindu hai muslim hai y Christian hai kon h y log inka koi imaan Dharam hai ya nhi ?”, one commented, “Ladki muslim h ladka hindu or shaadi kri h Christians k rituals se mtlb ye puri family hi Ajeeb hai”.
Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare Wedding
For the unversed, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare registered their wedding on Wednesday, 3 January 2024 in Mumbai. The couple and their families then jetted off to Udaipur for their grand wedding, sangeet, mehendi, and other ceremonies. As per the reports, after the wedding in Udaipur, there will be a grand reception held in Mumbai. The reception will reportedly take place on January 13 at NMACC and will be attended by Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others.
