Here’s Why Amitabh Bachchan Is Seen Wearing Bandages Over His Body In Movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

The makers of Prabhas’ highly anticipated movie, “Kalki 2898 AD,” unveiled a one-minute 15-second teaser set in a dark and futuristic sci-fi world. The teaser showcased almost all the characters from the film, but what grabbed attention was Amitabh Bachchan’s appearance, covered in bandages. It remains unclear why he was seen with bandages, but a fan theory gaining traction on social media suggests that he has a curse of God Krishna.

According to reports, the megastar’s character in the movie has traits similar to Ashwathama from the Mahabharat. Ashwathama was one of the most powerful warriors and the son of Dronacharya. He fought against the Pandavas in the Kurukshetra war and, in retaliation for causing irreparable harm to the Pandavas by attacking their families, Lord Krishna cursed him to wander the forests with blood and pus oozing out of his injuries, forever seeking death. The fan theory speculates that Amitabh’s bandages might be used to cover these cursed wounds.

“Kalki 2898 AD” features stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in leading roles. The first sneak peek of the movie was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), generating immense excitement among fans. The SDCC panel included Nag Ashwin, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Rana Daggubati, with Amitabh Bachchan joining via video call. During the event, Kamal Haasan shared candid thoughts on Hindi films and surprisingly confessed his initial dislike for the iconic film “Sholay” and its filmmaker.

He revealed, “I was an assistant director on Sholay. I couldn’t sleep the night I watched it because I hated the film so much. I hated the filmmaker even more. I had the opportunity of working with a great filmmaker, and that was my reaction, and I told him. As a technician, I couldn’t sleep that night, and Amitji has done many such movies. Him saying nice things about my films is something I had never imagined.”
