Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan is all set to release this year’s much-awaited film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. To keep fans excited, buzz makers are sharing updates about the film. Recently, makers dropped the new upbeat song ‘Yentamma’ featuring Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Ram Charan, and Pooja Hegde dancing. While many fans adored the upbeat song, former cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan didn’t appear to enjoy it. The Hindi-Telugu fusion song, according to him, is insulting to South Indian culture.
Laxman re-posted a clip from the song on his Twitter account along with the statement, “This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a lungi, this is a dhoti. A classical outfit that is being shown in a disgusting manner.”
On the other hand, many even criticised the actors for their outfits and wearing shoes in temple; one user wrote, “Such pathetic vulgarity that ridicules a traditional attire… People who hv no clue about customs and costumes are using graceless moves in the name of entertainment and making a mockery of the south indian dhoti and how it is worn.” Another wrote, “Further the step suggestive says he lift his lungi and does a step suggestive of sexual humping in all directions.generally we hold hands in pranam and do shastang namaskar in 8 direction s.Can u do like that to your deity.dont think deity is sitting idle and silent .See kantara.” One more wrote, “Since there is a huge anti-Bollywood wave/sentiment in the country, they are trying to cash in on things that are southern. Wearing dhoti, shooting in temples, roping in southern actors, the dance moves. Nothing wrong, but obvious. Rating 1/10.”
Talking about the film that will be released on April 21, 2023, coinciding with the Eid festival.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill are making their Bollywood debuts. The movie trailer revealed in February of this year, is extremely outstanding. Salman will play the role of Bhaijaan in the family drama.
