Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s “Jab We Met” is one of the most watched and loved films in the Bollywood industry. Imtiaz Ali’s directorial was released in 2007, and since then the film has held a special place in our hearts. Fans’ happiness knows no bounds as the film has been re-released in theatres. Yes, those who don’t know have read it right, the film has been re-released again in theatres to mark Valentine’s Week. Fans are creating a frenzy in theatres to see rom-com. Several videos have surfaced on the internet in which they can be seen dancing to Mauja Hi Mauja.” Today, Shahid shared the same dancing video to express his feelings.
In the video, the crowd can be seen fully engrossed in the catchy tune. They can even be spotted emulating Kareena and Shahid’s stylish movements. A Twitter user remarked, “After almost 16yrs #JabWeMet in #ValentinesWeek is running houseful without any promotions in social media, speaks volumes of a cult romantic comedy. @shahidkapoor bro does check reactions of public in theatre, u will love it.” Shahid Kapoor re-shared the Tweet and called it “Too special.” He amazed his fans with the response.
Along with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh, and Pavan Malhotra also appeared in the movie Jab We Met. Shahid was nominated for Best Actor, but Kareena took home the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
The films that were re-released in the theaters included, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Minnale (2001), Titanic (1997), Tamasha (2015), Premam (2015), and Me Before You (2016). The love stories are currently screening in theatres till February 16.
