Two much-anticipated films Dunki and Salaar hit the theatres this week. While Rajkumar Hirani’s film, Dunki was released on 21 December, Prashanth Neel’s film, Salaar hit the screens on 22 December. Earlier it was expected that Prabhas starrer Salaar might “underperform” after releasing a day after SRK’s film Dunki. However, the tables turned soon after the release and Salaar registered the biggest box office opening of 2023 beating Dunki and leaving behind several box office blockbusters like Jawan, Adipurush, Pathaan, and Animal.
Dunki Vs Salaar Box Office Day 1
Rajkumar Hirani’s film Dunki registered a box office opening worth 30cr on Friday. To everyone’s surprise, SRK’s film underperformed on its opening day at the box office. Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel’s film, Salaar on the other hand registered one of the biggest openings of the year.
