The actor had only one hit film from 2011 to 2019, and that was a multi-starrer film, ‘Housefull 4,’ which featured actors like Akshay Kumar, Johnny Lever, Chunky Panday, and many more. Out of seven movies during that time, only one became a hit. Here’s the list of movies he did during that period: ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se,’ ‘Race 3,’ ‘Poster Boys,’ ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2,’ ‘Players,’ and ‘Thank You.’
However, the actor has once again tasted success after many years, and he was eager to talk about this. During the press meet for the trailer launch of ‘Animal,’ the actor expressed, ‘The condition of my career was such that I never thought I would get such a great role.’ Bobby recalled receiving a call from Sandeep for ‘Animal,’ where the director showed him a random photo from his time playing Celebrity Cricket League. This photo convinced Sandeep that Bobby was the right fit for the part.
‘Sandeep showed me a photo from the time I was playing Celebrity Cricket League. I wasn’t working much at that time. In the photo, I was looking away into the horizon. He said, “I want to cast you because of this expression. This is what I want for the film.” I said, “Chalo, bekaari ke din kaam aa gaye” (my jobless days worked for me),’ Bobby recalled.
Furthermore, Bobby shared his experience working with Ranbir Kapoor, expressing that he was ‘lost in his eyes’ due to Ranbir’s mesmerizing presence. ‘I have worked with many stars in this industry, but I’ve never seen anyone who is so humble, so down to earth. When I was working with him, I would just get lost in his eyes. He was so mesmerizing as an actor,’ he shared.
