Apart from Tiger 3, the year, 2023 marked the release of several other major box office blockbuster hit films like Gadar 2, Jailer, Leo, Jawan, and more. - Pathaan
Released on 25th January Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan was a massive blockbuster hit. The film marked the comeback of Bollywood King Khan. The film earned around Rs 54 crore net on its opening day. The film grossed more than 1050Cr worldwide.
2. Adipurush
Second on the list is Om Raut’s film Adipurush. Released on 16th June this year the film witnessed an opening with ₹88 crores. Even though the film failed to impress the audience movie managed to gross 390 Crores as its Worldwide lifetime collection.
3. Jailer
Rajinikanth starrer Tamil film Jailer is yet another biggest blockbuster and the biggest opener of the year. Released on 9th August the Tamil film had an opening of worth 49cr. Reportedly the film had a worldwide lifetime collection of approx. 605 Crore.
4. Gadar 2
Sunny Deol made his comeback with the film, Gadar 2. Starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel Gadar 2 was a massive box-office success. The film witnessed a box office opening worth 40.10 crores. The film’s worldwide box office wrapped up at 685.19 crores.
5. Jawan
Apart from Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan delivered yet another box-office blockbuster, Jawan. Directed by Atlee the film achieved a record-breaking opening day collection of ₹75 crore in India. Jawan made a lifetime worldwide box office collection of approx. Rs 1,068.58 crore
6. Leo
Apart from Jailer, Vijay Thalaptahy starrer Leo was yet another Tamil box office blockbuster. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj the film had an opening of approx. 66 crores. The film has already crossed the 600cr mark with its worldwide box office collection.
7. Tiger 3
The latest film on the list is Maneesh Sharma’s directorial Tiger 3. Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi the spy-thriller recorded a massive box office opening of approx. 44.50 crores. The film has already crossed the 100cr mark within just 2 days of its release.
On the other hand, many much-anticipated films like Animal, Dunki, and Salaar among other films are still awaiting the release in 2023.
