Bhupinder Singh Death: Celebs Mourn The Demise Of Veteran Singer

Veteran Bollywood singer Bhupinder Singh who gave several hits and all-time classics like Do Deewane Shaher Mein and more passed away at 82.

Bollywood Veteran singer Bhupinder Singh who gave some of the mega-hit songs like ‘Do Deewane Shahar Mein’ and more, passed away on 18 July, Monday at a hospital in Mumbai. His wife Mitali Singh confirmed the news meanwhile, Bhupinder Singh was 82 years old.

Veteran Singer Bhupinder Singh Dies At 82

Bollywood veteran singer Bhupinder Singh has sung many mega-hits and all-time classic songs. The late singer gave the industry some very popular songs like Hoke Majboor Mujhe Usne Bulaya Hoga, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai, Do Deewane Shaher Mein, and many more.

During a recent media interaction, Bhupinder’s wife Mitali said, “He passed away on Monday and the funeral will be held mostly on Tuesday. He had a colon ailment.’’ as per the reports, the director of Criticare Asia hospital revealed that the singer was in the hospital for 10 days he also got COVID-19, during the interaction, he said, “Bhupinderji was admitted ten days back to our hospital. He had an infection. We had a strong suspicion that he had Colon ailment and we were doing investigations. At the same time, he got Covid-19. His condition worsened on Monday morning and we had to put him on a ventilator. He got a cardiac arrest and passed away at 7:45 pm.’’

Many Bollywood actors shared their condolences with the family. Runway 34 actor Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter account to mourn the late singer, he wrote, “Deeply saddened about the demise of Bhupinder ji. His voice brought joy to millions and had a uniqueness. Condolences to his family. RIP Bhupinder Ji. Om Shanti.”

Singer Vishal Dadlani wrote, “In memoriam #BhupinderSingh ji. A with a voice from a gentler time. Tragically poetic that he should follow Lataji, as he did so beautifully in the song #NaamGumJaayega composed by #RDBurman and written by Gulzarsaab. Unki awaaz hi pehchaan hai, aur hamesha yaad rahegi.”

The late singer, Bhupinder Singh started his career as a performer on All India Radio in Delhi. Music composer Madan Mohan heard him at a dinner in the capital and called him to Mumbai. He was born in Punjab’s Amritsar. He sang several duets with Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi.
