Recently the makers announced that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be marking the comeback of OG majulika, Vidya Balan. Actor Kartik Aaryan took to his social media and announced that Vidya Balan will be joining the team and will be featured in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which will be released this Diwali. Following the surprising announcement many fans began to speculate if OG actor Akshay Kumar will also be making his comeback in the film.
Anees Bazmee On Casting Akshay Kumar In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Reacting to the announcement post, a segment of netizens urged the makers to cast Akshay Kumar alongside Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. However, unfortunately, all the hopes of the fans were dashed after filmmaker Anees Bazmee revealed and confirmed that Akshay Kumar will “not” be a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Talking about not casting Akshay in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the filmmaker told Zoom, Anees said, “No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In future, certainly yes.”

Anees Bazmee also opened up about casting Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, he said, “Look, Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in my film Thank You. I remember calling her, and she taking no time to give her nod of consent. I don’t know why, but I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there, and here I am today, ready to go on the set.”
For the unversed on Monday, Kartik Aaryan announced that Vidya Balan will be joining the cast of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Taking to his Instagram handle he wrote, “And its happening. Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar”.
