The menace of piracy continues to plague the entertainment industry, causing substantial damage. Notably, other highly anticipated films like “OMG 2,” “Pathaan,” “Adipurush,” and “Gadar 2” have also faced leaks on piracy websites, indicating a pervasive issue within the Indian film landscape.
Despite stringent anti-piracy laws enforced by the Indian government, the problem persists, leading to significant financial losses for filmmakers. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that audiences choose to watch movies in theaters to support the industry or await their official release on legitimate streaming platforms or television.
Directed by R Balki, “Ghoomer” draws inspiration from the real-life tale of a late athlete who conquered a debilitating hand injury to clinch two Olympic gold medals. The movie has generated substantial excitement and positive chatter. Its premiere during the inaugural night of the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) earned the film a standing ovation from the audience. Worth highlighting is the fact that Amitabh Bachchan, the renowned megastar and Abhishek’s father, not only viewed the film twice but also openly conveyed his heartfelt enthusiasm for it on his official blog.
