Aamir Khan and Ira Khan Promote therapy for mental health, saying they both have practiced it for their well being - totally safe.

Aamir Khan’s daughter, ‘Ira Khan,’ has been vocal about her ‘Mental Health Issues’ on social media. She has consistently promoted mental well-being and advocated seeking therapy from concerned medical professionals in such cases. Ira also features in videos and content related to the same topic, educating young individuals about the importance of ‘Mental Health.’

Today, on the 10th of October – ‘World Mental Health Day,’ Ira posted a video on her Instagram handle with her father, ‘Aamir Khan,’ talking about therapy and mental health. The video opens with Aamir Khan saying, “Just as we visit school or a tutor to learn math, or go to a salon for a haircut, or call plumbers if something needs repair at home, ‘Jo Kaam Janta hai trained ho’ [tasks should be handled by those who are trained].” Ira adds that just as one sees a doctor when they are medically unwell, seeking therapy is essential.

Aamir says, “Zindagi mein aise bohot saare kaam hai jo hum khud nahi kar paate [There are many tasks in life that we cannot do ourselves]. We seek the help of others who are trained for these tasks, and we make these decisions easily, without shame or hesitation.” To which Ira adds that if somebody is going through tough times, mentally or physically, they should seek therapy and consult a professional immediately without any hesitation or fear, as it’s essential for their well-being.

Ira was recently engaged to her gym trainer-turned-boyfriend, ‘Nupur Shikhare,’ in November last year. The ceremony was attended by close friends and relatives, and Aamir Khan was seen joyfully dancing to his hit tracks.

On the work front, the ‘Dangal’ actor is currently on a break and also took a spiritual trip to Nepal for meditation and therapy. It is reported that the star was not very elated after the disappointment of his highly anticipated film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and chose to take a break in response. He has also deleted all his social media accounts as he felt they were not fitting well with his current state. Khan announced his divorce from Kiran Rao in 2021; however, they still share cordial relations, and Kiran is seen directing films for Aamir Khan’s banner, ‘Aamir Khan Productions.’ The actor has locked ‘Christmas Week 2024’ for his next untitled Pan-India film release and has also joined hands with ‘Gadar’ star ‘Sunny Deol’ for a production venture – ‘Lahore 1947.’
