Kabir Khan’s next directorial venture titled, 83’ will showcase the victory of the Indian cricket team in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. This film is going to be a special tribute to the pivotal victory which changed the face of Indian cricket forever.
Actor Ranveer Singh will portray the role of legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev under whose leadership team India lifted the Cricket World Cup. For the past few days, both Ranveer Singh and Kabir Khan are busy sharing posters of 83’. In each of these posters, they are introducing different actors in their reel life avatars.
In his recent Instagram post, Ranveer Singh shared another poster of 83’. In this poster, Ranveer introduced singer Harrdy Sandhu as iconic cricketer Madan Lal. He captioned this image by writing, “PUNJAB DA GABRU VEER !!! Presenting @harrdysandhu as the dynamic MADAN LAL!!! #ThisIs83…”
For essaying this role, the Punjabi singer was trained by Madan Lal himself at the Bangalore’s national camp. All of Harrdy Sandhu’s fans will now be in anticipation to witness their favorite singer act on the big screen.
Talking about Madan Lal, he was an all-rounder who took the important wicket of Sir Vivian Richards during the 1983 World Cup finale.
As of the reports, Kabir Khan’s film’s poster will be launched on 26 January 2020 in Hyderabad. The movie 83′ will be released in three languages- Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. In this film, Ranveer Singh will be paired opposite Deepika Padukone, she will be playing the role of his on-screen wife, Romi Dev.
83′ is slated to release on 10 April 2020.
